For this assignment, we were given the challenge of creating a location where a main character will receive an important item. Whatever the item was, the location, setting or receiver were all up to us. The concept that I ended up settling on was an ancient tomb of an alien warrior that had died fighting a great intergalactic threat long ago. Fast forward a few melena, and a human scientist quite literally falls into this tomb where she see's the statue glowing in the corner, and is intrigued by the 2 swords in it's hands...

 

This project was unique as it was the first time I would integrate 3d reference in the form of a blender mockup for the piece. I started with trying out different floor plans to get a reference for what I was about to model.

At the same time, I set about creating details for the room such as columns...

After this, I took my strongest floorplan and modeled it in blender. I had some experience with Blender before this so I was able to create a rough mockup. The only thing that I needed wot work around was that the way I had layer out the room made it difficult to show all of the important spaces. For this, I had to peal away some area's such as the roof and the arch over break to get a rough layout of everything.
